A Sunday afternoon spent at Dance Attic with 75 Dancers in rehearsals all doing what they love to do DANCE !
Kicking back time and reforming for one night only for the Dame Vera Lynn 100th Birthday Celebration at the London Palladium on March 18th 2017
With host of stars from the world of Entertainment, It will be a night to remember !
Directed by Dougie Squires MVO OBE Who is bringing together a tribute to the nations wartime Sweet heart and Singing Sensation Star Dame Vera
The Generation of dancers come from Dougie's dancers of the 50's 60's 70's 80's 90's .
All have been involved in Shows starring Dame Vera from the Young Generation for the BBC television series to dancing on the VE celebration at Hyde Park
Dancers have flown in from Singapore,Canada,Holland France and the length and breath of the UK. Not only for the show but for the rehearsals as well !
The Dancers all have worked with Dougie and the respect and love for him is unfold
Dougie always brought the best out of you said Sophie Treadwell Great times, amazing travels fabulous shows and life long friends ... Sophie's Career went from being one of Dougie's Dancers inTV shows in the UK and all over the world , The Second generation show in Hong Kong ,Cape Town , and Palm Beach Casino Cannes . she was spotted and became a hostess on Sale of the Century and was one the UK's top photographic commercial models, She then went to live in Paris and performed as a leading lady in Revue, before turning her creative talents to a successful catering company, In the UK. Then back to France to create interiorsDesign for bespoke Chalets ,Where she divides her time between France and Singapore and Thailand creating events for The international Yacht shows .
A joy to see Rosemarie Ford TV presenter Singer Actress , West End leading ladies Danielle Carson and Sue Wright, Top choreographer Leigh Miles, from" Big Brother' Jackie Travers Guys and Dolls Singing group Martine Howard, Theatre and television actress Tayrn Kay

The atmosphere was electric in the studio and working all together brought the energy alive .

today marked the day we had our civil partnership! 10 years ago or is it 11 !
but just worked we have been together 39 years this year ! I am not that old !lol
First class or the year! was great to see so many dancers who love to dance come !
Always thrilling to see everyone dance again... when everyone dances the years just go out the window and its back to where we were .... special times ....
IT gives me the greatest of pleasure in announcing that Dougie Squires OBE has been honoured with an M.V.O. (Member of the Royal Victorian Order, a dynastic order of knighthood established by Queen Victoria) in recognition of his Services to the Queen, in Her Majesty’s New Year’s Honours list 2017.
2016 has marked a special year for Dougie. Working alongside Simon Brooks Ward and the Horse Power Group, Dougie was Creative and Stage Director of this year’s HRH HER MAJESTY’S 90TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION at Windsor Great Park, which had a cast of more than 2000 artists, over 1000 horses and was televised to great acclaim for ITV.
Earlier this month, Dougie directed both the finale of the International Horse Show at Olympia (again working alongside the Horse Power Group) and the Christmas Show at St James’s Palace for the ‘Not Forgotten Association’ Charity.
Dougie is currently in rehearsals for the ‘Celebration of Dame Vera Lynn’s 100th Birthday’ at the London Palladium on March 18th, which he is both directing and producing.
Dougie is very humbled and tremendously proud to be granted such an Honour.

I admire their talents and wish them every success for their future careers!! This year we all got back together! ... THE SECOND GENERATION dancers from long ago... it started out as a reunion ... and the fed back was wonderful... so monthly classes happen now... it has been fabulous seeing everyone again very special indeed the wonders of social media! !

The decs at the thatch ! the leaves swept up! ( I hate leaves !!!) and country walks !
Got the chance to walk through London one night with Scott and it was lovely to see London bathed in Christmas lights ! walked for miles my poor feet ! Then on another evening went to Winter Wonderland with Reece in Hyde Park really fabulous ! in admiration of the whole set up... done so well.... they must be making a fortune ! and well deserved !
